Ruth Smith Coggins, 99, widow of Robert Ansel Coggins, Sr., passed away December 14, 2019.

A native of Oconee County, daughter of the late Charlie and Ada Stegall Smith, she was a retired employee of Homelite, a member of Victor Baptist Church and a former member of Women?s on Missions.

Surviving:

Surviving are one son, Barry Wayne Coggins of Rock Hill; one daughter, Teresa C. Proctor of Simpsonville; three sisters, Alice Smith of Aiken, Ruby Bunting of Maryland and Marjorie Cansler of Aiken; four grandchildren, Toni Bailey, Angela Irizarry, Torey Proctor and Christa Pittman; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Coggins was predeceased by her step-mother, Dolly Harvey Smith, one son, Robert Ansel Coggins, Jr., one daughter, Janice C. Rice and one grandson, Howard Rice.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Ken Vickery.

Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at their respective homes.
