Shirley Mae Miller Payne, 90, wife of the late Billy Ray Payne, passed away July 25, 2024.

A native of Chesterfield County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Steve F. Miller and Lessie L. Moore; she was a retired bookkeeper with Wachovia Bank and member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving:

Surviving are three beloved daughters, Deborah M. Gosnell (David) of Greenville, Rhonda J. Hammond (Matt) of Greer, and Tina Carr (Brian) of Taylors; five grandchildren, Ann Jackson, Ashley Hammond, Adriane Hammond, Mac Wingo, and David Wingo; six great-grandchildren, Trey Alexander, Cameron Woodruff, Jasmine Woodruff, Braylan Dill, Aurie Dill and Adalyn Brown; and four great great-grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a brother, Steve Miller, Jr., a sister, Vicki Hardy and a randson, Joey Alexander.

Funeral Services:

A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Flat Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Bart Miles. Burial will follow in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5 until 6 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary.
