Vance L. Shreckengast, 82, passed away on April 11, 2018 at his home.

A native of Erie, PA., son of the late Rev. Vance F. and Ida Mae Hyde Shreckengast, he was a retired employee of Grumman Aircraft Inc., a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, a former basketball coach and served on the pulpit committee.

Surviving:

Surviving are his wife, Theda E. Panton Shreckengast of the home; three daughters, Debra K. Dickerson, (Joe) of Plant City, FL., Dawn R. Herring and Darla Anne Todd (Grover) all of Greer, one sister, Joyce Doherty of Laguna Beach, CA.; ten grandchildren, Matthew (Holly), Michael (JoAnna), Melody, Monica, Moriah and Meredith Herring, Currie and David Dickerson, Hunter Lovvorn (Justin) and Garrett Todd and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services:

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Taylors First Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jimmie Harley and Pastor Paul Jimenez.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.

Honorary escort will be the Tyler Shaw Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, at the Welcome Center at Taylors First Baptist Church.

The family is at the home.
