Javon Smith, a junior wide receiver with North Greenville, scored on 99- and 90-yards pass plays thrown by quarterback Will Hunter.
Originally scheduled at Citadel on Saturday, the game was moved up and shifted to North Greenville's Yount Stadium because of the anticipated impact of Hurricane Matthew.
The Bulldogs (5-0) averaged 7 yards per carry and had 559 yards rushing – 20 yards short of their team record – with six ball carriers going for at least 73 yards on the ground. Both teams combined or 971-yards of total offense.
Jackson's 52-yard run on the next play from scrimmage gave Citadel the lead for good and the Bulldogs added a pair of third-quarter TDs — Dominique Allen's 15-yard keeper and 30-yard TD pass — to make it 35-14.
It was the first meeting between the schools. A new NGU attendance record of 5,400 attended the game.
The Bulldogs will host league rival Chattanooga next Saturday and North Greenville will travel to Greenville, Tenn., to take on Tusculum College at 2:30pm.
