Marc Regier has been hired as the operations manager for Greer Commission of Public Works. He begins Monday.
Regier was Director and Utilities for the City of Newberry for almost nine years. “I am looking forward to relocating to Greer with my family. I’m excited to have the opportunity to work for a utility that is growing and expanding rapidly,” said Regier.
Newberry’s utilities include electric, water and waste water.
Regier graduated Newberry College with a Bachelor of Science degree and after several years of IT contracting away from the Midlands, found himself back in Newberry.
Marc will make the move to the Upstate with his wife Katie and 4 children: Chloe (11), Caleb (7), Camilla (5) and Christian (4).
“I am confident Marc will oversee the rapid growth Greer is experiencing and make sure we manage that growth in the best interest of customers and the community,” said Mike Richard, CPW General Manager.
