Restaurants open locally and nationally on Thanksgiving serving traditional fare and

There are plenty of local and national restaurants open on Thanksgiving to enjoy the traditional fare while traveling.

Local restaurants are just as appealing, and understanding, with families traveling from different parts of the state or region for a Thanksgiving dinner.

Here’s a little known fact: Cracker Barrel restaurants take one month to prepare for the Thanksgiving crush, its biggest day of the year.

The Blue Ridge Brewing Company, 308 Trade Street, will be open 4 p.m. ­– 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving with its usual menu of food and drinks.

City Range Greenville and Spartanburg will be open 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Traditional Thanksgiving buffet served. Greenville is 615 Haywood Road and Spartanburg is 774 Spartan Blvd.

Fatz Café, 1361 West Wade Hampton Boulevard, is open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner that includes Turkey Breast, Red-Skinned Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cornbread Stuffing, Southern-style Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce and a slice of Pumpkin Pie for $10.99. The full dinner menu and seasonal drink specials will also be available.

Greenville Marriott, One Parkway, is serving a Thanksgiving Buffet from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Pour Sports Pub, two doors down from the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, is open 4 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. A turkey buffet begins at 6 p.m. The kitchen is closed.

Wade’s (Spartanburg), 1000 N. Pine Street, will be open from 10:45 – 3 p.m. serving traditional Thanksgiving menu and other items featured from its menu. Wade’s will close Friday and Saturday and reopen on Sunday.

Nationally, these are announced openings serving Thanksgiving Day fare unless noted otherwise. We suggest travelers to call ahead for openings and wait times.

Black Angus Steakhouse encourages you to make your reservations now for its Thanksgiving Day Feast served with all the fixin’s.  $18.99 for adults and $9.99 for kids.

Bob Evans will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Adults can get a special Thanksgiving meal for $14.99. Kid’s meals are just $6.99. That includes a choice of entrees, including turkey, ham or pork, three sides, endless bread and dessert, too.

Bonanza Steakhouse will be offering a Thanksgiving Day Premium Buffet.

Boston Market will be open serving a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner.

Charlie Brown’s Fresh Grill will be serving an All You Can Eat Turkey Dinner (3-course) for $19.99.  Includes all the fixings.  Baked ham 3-course also available.  A few regular menu items available.

Chompie’s is open until 3 p.m. and is offering a Thanksgiving Dinner for $18.99 per person, dine in or to-go. 

Claim Jumper Restaurants will be serving its Thanksgiving Menu from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at most locations. 

Country Cookin is serving up its Thanksgiving Day Feast with turkey or ham with all-you-can-eat holiday salads and sides for $10.99 (kids 10 and under $4.49).  Most locations open and serving breakfast from 7-11 a.m. and a traditional Thanksgiving Feast from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store will serve a special in-store Thanksgiving meal from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Homestyle Turkey n’ Dressing Meal is available for $12.99 per adult and $7.99 per child.

Denny’s is serving a Turkey & Dressing Dinner.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse opens at 11 a.m. serving a four-course Thanksgiving meal for $39.95 per adult.  Children’s Thanksgiving Menu available for $19.95.

Furr’s Fresh Buffet will be open from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Golden Corral is offering a Thanksgiving Day Buffet at participating locations.  Call your local Golden Corral for special holiday hours.

HomeTown Buffet will be open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Humperdinks doors open at 10 a.m. with a Thanksgiving Feast.  $21.99 adults.  $11.99 kids under 12.  Kids under 5 eat free.

Jim’s Restaurants Thanksgiving meal. $8.99 starting at 11 a.m.

K&W Cafeterias will be offering a Thanksgiving Day Special for $7.49. Continuous service Thanksgiving Day.

Legal Sea Foods Thanksgiving menu. $24.95 per person and $8.95 for children 12 and under.  Hours may vary by location.  Reservations recommended.

Luby’s will be open for dine in or to go, serving a Thanksgiving special combo for $10.99. 

Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que Thanksgiving meal, adults $25.99, Kids 12 and under $12.99. 

Maggiano’s Little Italy is taking reservations. 

Marie Callender’s  – Adults $19.99.  Kids $8.99.

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks featuring Roasted Turkey Dinner at participating locations. 

Mimi’s Cafe is serving up its traditional Thanksgiving Dine-In Meal beginning at 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. 18.99 for adults and $8.99 for kids.

Old Country Buffet will be open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Ponderosa Steakhouse will be offering a Thanksgiving Day Premium Buffet.

Romano’s Macaroni Grill will be offering Thanksgiving dinner for $18.99 from 12 noon to close by reservation only. 

Roy’s is offering a three-course holiday menu.  Adults $39.95 per guest without wine or $69.95 with two glasses of wine.  Children’s Turkey Dinner $16.95.

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is opening at noon Thanksgiving Day with a special menu.  $39.95 per adult and $12.95 for children.

Ryan’s will be open from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Seasons 52 is taking reservations and will be serving Thanksgiving Dinner.  Adults $26.90. Child’s portion $12.90.

Shoney’s Thanksgiving Day All-You-Care-to-Eat Food Bar, starting at $11.99 and $5.99 for kids 5 -10. Kids 4 and free buffet with an adult meal purchase.

Sizzler is serving a Thanksgiving Turkey Platter. Regular menu items will also be available. 

Smith & Wollensky will be serving a traditional Thanksgiving Day menu for $49 per adult, $20 per child under 12. 

Ted’s Montana Grill will be offering a Thanksgiving Roast Turkey Feast for $29. 

The Dixie Cafe is serving a Turkey and Dressing Feast for $10.99.  11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

Waffle House restaurants will be open, still serving ‘em up scattered, smothered & covered.
