Science & Technology: Students in Mrs. Garner’s 8th grade science class used a world globe with a CBL (Computer-Based Laboratory) and temperature probe connected to a graphing calculator to model the earth and the sun during different seasons. This activity allowed students to understand an abstract concept by interpreting data from a hands-on experiment using concrete objects, technology, and the interaction with peers. The CBL was purchased by the school’s PTSA.
