Riverside Middle School 7th grade Social Studies students spent the week before winter break reviewing material from 1st semester and completing an Art in History Project about the French Revolution — a Limoges style box called a tabatiere.
Guitar students entertain NHC residents
Thomasina Wolfe’s Guitar students volunteered their time in a community service performance at the National Health Care facility in Greer on Dec. 17. An ensemble of 26 guitar students performed a repertoire of patriotic, holiday and 1980s pop songs for residents. Students earned volunteer time for various community and school organizations.
Chorus students perform at Cottages of Brushy Creek
RMS Chorus students performed at the Cottages of Brushy Creek for the residents and staff Dec. 18. Students were directed by Thomasina Wolfe and performed patriotic and holiday songs, and excerpts from Glee Season One.
Next RMS basketball game is Jan. 13
RMS Basketball season is back in full gear. The next games are RMS vs. Beck Middle School on Jan. 13 at Riverside Middle School and RMS vs. Greenville Middle on Jan. 23 at Greenville Middle School. Riverside Girls play at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Riverside Boys at 6:45 p.m.

Monthly PTSA meeting is Jan. 21

IGP conferences begin Jan. 21
Eighth Grade Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) Conferences will be held Jan. 21 through Feb. 14. Students were sent home with a letter on Jan. 6, that gives parents’ the appointment date and time for their child’s conference at the bottom of the letter. Anne Frank traveling exhibit will be at RMS beginning Feb. 18
Anne Frank, A History for Today, the traveling exhibit from the Anne Frank museum will be at Riverside Middle School Feb. 18 through March 28.
