The City of Greer has closed a portion of Biblebrook Road near E. Poinsett St. indefinitely after the South Carolina Department of Transportation found a CSX Railroad bridge to be in poor condition.
SCDOT recommended the City close a portion of Biblebrook Road across from Inland Port Greer on either side of the bridge, which it inspected last week. As of Monday, SCDOT had not received a response from CSX about repairing the bridge.
Biblebrook Road residents are asked to drive north to E. Wade Hampton Blvd. and to Arlington Rd. or the J. Verne Smith Parkway to access points south.
