Greenville County Schools will operate on a three-hour delay on Tuesday, school officials announced.

The school district’s announcement:

“Tomorrow’s extremely low temperatures present a unique situation, requiring a different option for a delayed start of school,” officials said. “A three-hour delay, combined with the opening of school buildings at regular time, was decided after considering the impact of extremely cold temperatures on bus riders and the needs of families who transport their children to school.”

"Students arriving before the delayed start time will participate in enrichment activities, and breakfast will be available to those students. Special education half-day programs for three-year-old children are cancelled. Employees should report at their regular time.”
