I hope you enjoy the pulled barbecue pork loin recipe I've attached.
The Sooie’t Relief BBQ Benefit begins Friday at 6 o’clock with a Wing Fling. Thanks to Greer Relief for this delicious two-day event that raises money for the non-profit.
When taking photos of the event last year, I took a mouth-watering stroll through the cookers, smokers, grills and camps of the competitors. Proud signage from each team hung on their tents with bragging rights from previous wins.
The tailgating type atmosphere was competitive but warm and friendly.
Each team has its own unique way to make your mouth water. It was interesting to watch the sauces being stirred and the meat being rubbed. I had a few teams let me in on their secret ingredients. Alcohol, ginger, cinnamon, and bacon were just a few favorites I discovered and decided to try on my own.
Although I won’t be entering the stiff competition this year, I will be there to enjoy the food and entertainment and helping support Greer Relief.
So come out this weekend and taste some of the competition along with several local barbeque vendors.
Can’t wait for the benefit this weekend? Here is an easy crockpot recipe for this busy back to school week.
Pulled Barbeque Pork Loin

salt and pepper
Directions
1. Salt and pepper pork loin and place in crockpot.
2. Add garlic and onion.
