Quang Huu Tran studied in Florida as an overseas student from Vietnam in 1963 to 1965. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Vietnamese Literature while studying in Japan in 1970.
Tran served six years as Captain Pilot of Division 4 in Can Tho, South Vietnam. He was a prisoner of war for nine years, due to his allegiance to the United States’ efforts to liberate South Vietnam.
Tran, who lived in Taylors and was retired from Southwark Metal Manufacturing Company, died Friday (July 8). See obituary here.
