United Community Bank held a reception at the Poinsett Club Wednesday evening to introduce its Greenville team. Left to right, Lynn Harton, chief operating officer, Michelle Seaver, Greenville president, and Jimmy Tallent, president and CEO.
Jimmy Tallent, President and CEO of UCB, said the management team had 95 years of Greenville banking service. “The 1,500-plus employees have a service heart that they wear everyday in addition to their local community service throughout local organizations,” Tallent said.
The Georgia bank is building its loan business from its new office at the Main at Broad development in downtown Greenville. It’s expansion in the Greenville and Upstate markets will take shape along the I-85 corridor.
UCB operates more than 100 locations throughout coastal and northern Georgia, metro Atlanta, western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee.
The team serving the Upstate includes:
• Lynn Harton, Chief Operating Officer: Harton brings 30 years of executive experience to his role of directing overall operations for United Community Bank. Before joining United Community Bank, he led Carolina First Bank in its sale and subsequent integration into TD Bank.
• Michelle Seaver, President – Greenville: Formerly with TD Bank and Carolina First Bank, Seaver will be responsible for introducing UCB to the Greenville market and overseeing its growth in the area. Seaver has 19 years of Greenville banking experience.
• Charles Chamberlain, Senior Vice President, Head of Corporate Banking: Chamberlain will develop new middle market and corporate relationships for the bank and will lead bank-wide corporate banking support areas, including Commercial Real Estate, Treasury Services and SBA Lending. Chamberlain has 29 years of Greenville banking experience.
• Lisa Shelnutt, Senior Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager: Shelnutt joins UCB as Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager. She has 26 years of experience as a real estate banker, lending professional and financial specialist. Shelnutt comes to UCB from TD Bank and Carolina First Bank.
• Matt Williams, Vice President and Branch Manager: Williams joins UCB from TD Bank, where he served as Branch Manager at the Greenville Main branch for six years.
• Jennifer Abate, Senior Portfolio Manager – Commercial Real Estate: Abate is a 20-year banking veteran.
• Tricia Lukanic, Office Manager: Lukanic brings experience in banking administration to her role as Office Manager.
