Claire Blouir’s class at the Washington Center has been studying dinosaurs for the  past few weeks. The students learned interesting facts about the “terrible lizards,” and used the Promethean Board for various songs, poems and stories about dinosaurs.

Paraprofessionals Rhonda Dreher, Kevin McCrary, Tracy Durham, and Joyce Ford assisted the students with creating a “pasta-saurus,” using various sizes and shapes of pasta and dried beans, as well as coloring a dinosaur mini-book to take home.

The class wrapped up the unit by using a switch adapted blender to make dinosaur shakes.
