Washington Center students enjoy showing they care by giving back to the community.

To continue this caring tradition, students from Washington Center, Washington Center at Hollis, Alexander Elementary, Mitchell Road Elementary, Greenville Middle Academy and East North Street Academy participated in “HIS Radio's Hearts-4-Kids.”

In Amanda Wakely's Adaptive Art class, students used a variety of techniques to decorate more than 400 hearts that “HIS Radio” delivered to children in area hospitals for Valentine's Day.

Through this project, students discovered that it is a wonderful feeling to receive a loving card from someone who cares, and an even better feeling to be sharing love with others.

From finger painting to spin art, each heart was handmade with love.
