Water is gushing over the Apalache dam after more than 4 inches or rain fell in Greer late last week.

 

Water pours over the Apalache dam this weekend after more than 4 inches of rain was recorded at the National Weather Service at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport in Greer.

GSP recorded 8.69 inches of rain the past 30 days and a total of 26 inches of rain since Jan. 1. The rain totals are down one inch from its annual average.

Temperatures will climb into the 80s Sunday with partly to mostly cloudy skies.

A chance of rain will prevail for the early part of next week and temperatures will inch higher to 90 degrees in the Upstate.
