World of Wines course offered at Greenville Tech

Learn which wines you prefer and why you like them with a new course offered at Greenville Tech. "The World of Wine for Consumers and Hospitality Professionals" will be taught by Richard Peck, wine and beverage director for Table 301 Restaurants in Greenville.

Offered from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 13 through Nov. 8, at Greenville Tech’s Buck Mickel Center, the class costs $159 per person plus a $75 materials fee, which covers three wine tastings at area restaurants.

The eight-week guided exploration of the world of wine will allow participants to experience tastes, discover traditions, and learn techniques that wine professionals use. Course will cover major grades and wine regions, basic fermentation science, flavor and aroma profiles of many popular wines of the world, and more.
