Smith & James is a little too cramped for Brandon Price’s style.
Price is overseeing a contemporary remodeling of the 100-year-old men’s clothier at 222 Trade Street. “I feel the store is a little cramped now,” Price said. “We’re going to make it look bigger than it appears, and the customers are going to visualize more of our clothing.”
Products made in Greer can now be certified as GreerMade in an initiative presented by the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce at its annual celebration Thursday night. The chamber is marketing the logo as one word.
Mark Owens, President/CEO of the Chamber, said the program is to promote and market the diversity of products made in Greer. “We’re doing a certification of origin, a registered trademark that shows the product comes from Greer,” Owens said.
