Dave Edwards, right, GSP Airport President/CEO and Scott Carr, VP/Commercial Business and Properties, are deciding where the ticket counter will be set before passengers head to the TSA centralized screening checkpoint behind them.
 
 

Passengers departing Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Tuesday morning via B screen flights will go through the new TSA centralized screening checkpoint.

It will be the first time passengers will experience the new centralized screening area that is a vital part of the $125 million Terminal Improvement Project (Wingspan).

GSP is part of coalition recognized for promoting diversity, women-owned businesses

The South Carolina Airports Coalition, which includes Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) and Charleston International Airport (CHS), received the Outstanding Business Award Tuesday as a part of the 2016 Upstate Diversity Leadership Awards hosted by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and the Riley Institute at Furman, in partnership with Upstate Chambers.

The award is given to a business that exhibits leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion internally and serves as an example for others to follow.

GGEF gives back to community, awards $13,000 in scholarships to 13 students

The Greater Greer Education Foundation awarded $13,000 in scholarships to 13 students from six high schools in the Greater Greer area Wednesday afternoon at Greer City Hall. Students were selected by the guidance department of each school and submitted to the Foundation. The Foundation in turn will present scholarship funds to the technical school or college on behalf of the student.
