One person was confirmed dead at the Greer BMW Manufacturing Co., Wednesday after reports someone had been stuck in a piece of machinery.

Bojan Sprah, 45, of Boiling Springs was identified as the person who died in the incident that occurred in the paint shop.

BMW Manufacturing is hiring for production and logistics positions at the Greer plant.

BMW’s contract staffing partner, MAU, Inc., will be responsible for hiring these new team members.

BMW employees have been called for overtime recently and it can be expressed in February sales of the Greer-produced X models.

Collectively, the BMW X models had a very strong month of sales led by the X3 (3,281 vehicles) and X5 (4,006).
