On Dec 11th, my husband, Russ Holthaus was recognized for his retirement from the Greer PD. We went to Mutt’s with two other officers for dinner. When we got to the counter to place our order, the clerk said the previous lady in line gave her money to put towards our dinner.
We were surprised. We did not see who did it until she came to our table. She said she and her husband hoped we enjoyed our meal and thanked them for their service . . . we did not catch her name but we would like to thank her and her husband.
This random act of kindness was very appreciated, and really made my husband feel proud to serve the great citizens of Greer for the past 28 years.
Thank you whoever you are!!
Merry Christmas.
Kim Holthaus

I had the pleasure of attending the past Citizens police Academy (fall of 2012) with the City of Greer.
Chief Reynolds, Lt Holcombe and all the Officers of the Greer Police Department are to be commended for their dedication to the job of protecting the citizens of Greer.
