Yesterday, the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors unanimously voted to take a position against pending tax increases on commercial property in the city limits of Greer.
The Greenville County Council is set to raise commercial and residential property taxes up to 4 mils tonight. A bill was recently passed in Columbia that gave Greenville County the authority to take over all operations, assets and liabilities of the Recreation District if the Recreation District Commissioners voted to dissolve themselves.
