President Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra
The Foothills Philharmonic Orchestra would like to thank the people of the city of Greer and surrounding communities for their wonderful support of our Christmas Concert. The concert was also part of the Marine Corps’s Toys for Tots Campaign. The community’s support made this a great success also. The free concert was attended by nearly 700 people, and six boxes of toys were collected.
The following Spartanburg Community College students have earned dean's list honors for fall term 2017.
Belton
Joseph Klauser and David L. McCall will each receive a President’s Award during Greenville Technical College fall commencement exercises Friday at 11 a.m. at the TD Convention Center.
Klauser, described by his instructors as outstanding, he has volunteered his time to the Culinary department, assisting with preparations for community events. He can be counted upon to fulfill his commitments with a positive attitude, possessing ambition, a solid work ethic, and tireless enthusiasm.
Angie Jarecki, a special education teacher at Blue Ridge Middle School, sends a big “Thank you” for the $1,500 grant she wrote and was awarded by Walmart in Greer.
“The additional funds are always needed to make classroom activities more engaging and fun for all students, but especially for my special education students,” wrote Jarecki.
The North Greenville University Physician Assistant (PA) medicine students began an academic tradition Friday at the Graduate School of Health Science at the Tim Brashier Campus at Greer.
The school held its first white coat ceremony for the Master of Medical Science in PA Studies students at Suber Road Baptist Church in Greer.
The Riverside High School Speech and Debate Booster Club’s annual Radio Play will be held Dec.12 at 6:30 p.m. The event is one its major fund raising efforts for the year. All the money to attend tournaments is raised by team members and the booster club.
