Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have charged 31-year-old Jillene McMillan with unlawful neglect of a child.
On Nov 14, investigators received a report from the Greenville City Police Department regarding a newborn baby being handed over to a woman, identified as Monique Yolanda Jackson, who then took the child to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Greenville City Police initiated an investigation and have since charged Jackson with filing a false police report.
This evening's Farmer's Market is dedicated to watermelons. There will be a contest for the best tasting watermelon and the largest watermelon. 1st place in each category will receive $75 and 2nd place receives a $35 gift certificate to Foodies Farm Shop.
There will also be an abundance of watermelon for everyone to eat and take home!
Lowes Foods came to Greer today to shop.
The newest grocery store opening in Greer in early fall invited 30 vendors to City Hall to discuss their products being considered to become part of the store across from Riverside High School.
The next best thing to a downtown grocery store is coming to Greer.
The Foodies Farmshop will become an anchor at The Depot at 300 Randall Street Suite G with the opening scheduled on April 7. That also coincides with the Greer Farmers Market that will shift locations from the Greer Florist parking lot at E. Poinsett St.
The treaters outnumber the tricksters at the Greer Station Association (GSA).
Children of all ages will likely be applauding GSA’s wisdom in moving Halloween in Greer Station to Thursday, 5-7 p.m., when warmer temperatures (70s) are forecast under partly sunny skies.
The inaugural Greer Farmer’s Market is a sellout.
There are 21 vendors scheduled to offer their goods from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Greer Florist parking lot at 105 E. Poinsett Street. Interestingly, founder Cristy Ray and Kyle Mensing, of the Greer Station Association, measured for 20.
