The Greer Police Department reported Thursdays and Mondays in June averaged the most collisions daily within the city.

Allen Bennett was broken into, two meth labs were dismantled, and the Greer Police Department reported 14 drug and 13 alcohol related arrests in June. The June police report was made available as part of City Council’s meeting Tuesday night.
Lt. Eric Pressley of the Criminal Investigations Division, obtained warrants for two individuals in connection with the Allen Bennett burglary. The suspects were caught on video after police set up a surveillance camera at Allen Bennett. There was no report the suspects were arrested and charged.

Two people were killed and another person critically injured in a fiery single car crash on Hammett Bridge Road at about 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.
The driver of the vehicle, Andrew Chase Jackson, 16, of 407 Hammett Bridge Road, was killed, coroner B. Parks Evans reported.

Four white females are being sought by the Greer Police Department in an attempted purse snatching.
On June 20 at approximately 2 p.m., an attempted purse snatching took place in the Walmart parking lot located at 14055 E Wade Hampton Blvd.
