Greer City and Greenville County police report a body of a man and woman were found in the backyard of their house on West Church Street. Their identities were not released.
A neighbor reportedly found the bodies. A gun was also reportedly found near the crime scene.
The police said they were investigating the shooting as a double homicide.
Greenville County Coroner Kent Dill told media autopsies would be performed Friday morning.
Lt. Jim Holcombe of the Greer Police Department said he didn’t feel there is a threat to the community and no suspects are being sought.
