80 pounds of drugs turned in to GPD during 'Take Back Day'

Eighty pounds of medicine was collected in Greer Saturday.

Eighty pounds of medicine was collected in Greer Saturday.

 

Eighty pounds of unwanted medicine was collected by the Greer Police Department during Saturday’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Overall 192 pounds of drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The total includes:

• 32 pounds of pills

• 48 pounds of blister packs

• 112 pounds the Greer Police had saved since April

192 pounds total turned into the DEA.

Unwanted drugs may be turned in at the Greer Police Department throughout the year.
