BJA Forensic team is 1A state champs for 8th straigh year

Bob Jones Academy team members who earned the school's 8th consecutive 1A Speech and Debate state championship.

The Bob Jones Academy Forensics Team was named State 1A Champions in Speech and Debate for the eighth consecutive year during the South Carolina Forensic Coaches Association State Championship at Mauldin High School last weekend.

The BJA team was fourth overall and its coaches, Chuck and Gail Nicholas, were honored as the 1A Coaches of the Year.

Champion Novice in Prose Interpretation – Haley Brammer of Greenville

State Champion SPAR (Spontaneous Argumentation) Debate – Will Christmas of Easley

2nd, SPAR Debate – Micah Samuels of Piedmont

3rd, SPAR Debate – Jonathan Savoy of Greer

2nd, Lincoln-Douglas Debate – Elliott Kelley of Easley

3rd, Declamation – Lauren Jacquette of Taylors

5th, Extemporaneous Speaking – Eliot Lovegrove of Greenville
