BJA Forensic Team wins 2nd place overall Sweepstakes Trophy
The Bob Jones Academy Forensic Team won the 2nd place overall Sweepstakes Trophy as they competed against schools from North Carolina and South Carolina at a speech and debate tournament held Oct. 25 at Irmo High School in Irmo.

The following individuals won individual awards:

1st place Original Oratory — Emma Pait of Greenville
1st place Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate — Josh Casillas of Greer
2nd place Impromptu Speaking — Carter Henderson of Taylors
2nd place Extemporaneous Speaking— Carter Henderson of Taylors
2nd place Novice Reading — Hannah Kuzmic of Greenville
2nd place Declamation — Ali Hermetz of Greenville
2nd place Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate — Anne Nguyen of Taylors
3rd place Oral Interpretation — Jennie Hudson of Lilburn, Georgia
3rd place Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate — Andrew Clater of Easley
4th place Declamation— Carson McQuaid of Greenville
4th place Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate — Lauren Jacquette of Taylors
5th place Novice Reading — Anna Kate Streeter of Greenville
5th place Children’s Literature — Hope Ahr of Greenville
5th place Declamation — McKenna Donovan of Taylors
5th place Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate — Daniel Quigley of Fountain Inn
6th place Declamation — Aaron Doney of Greenville
