Blue Ridge falls to Chapman, 59-7

Blue Ridge lost its third straight game as Chapman defeated the Tigers, 59-7 at Blue Ridge High School Friday night.

Blue Ridge is 1-4 and Chapman is 4-1.

Blue Ridge hosts Mauldin next Friday before it has an off week on Sept. 30.

Chapman wasted little time all by taking Blue Ridge out of the game. Chapman scored five touchdowns in the first half, three in the first quarter.

Quarterback Colton Bailey threw three touchdown passes to Richard Tucker. D.J. Twitty and Bailey scored on TD runs twice and Eli Whittemore one. Twitty ran for more than 200 yards.

Chapman kicker Carlos Montalvo-Corrales accounted for 11 points with a field goal and 8 extra point kicks.

Blue Ridge could muster little offense except for its touchdown. The Tigers were intercepted three times.
