James Thurn has been named the new head football coach at Blue Ridge High School. He replaces Shane Clark, who resigned after five seasons (21-33 record and four playoff appearances) to concentrate on his athletic director duties.
Thurn, 28, was offensive coordinator at Westside High School the past two years. Clark added athletic director to his duties at BRHS in 2013-2014.
Thurn graduated Wren High School 2007 and played and graduated North Greenville University. His first job was working in sports media at WCCP-FM in Clemson.
