It was a happy time outside Timmons Arena at Furman University as Blue Ridge High School grads celebrated.

It was hurry up and wait before the ceremonies as grads lined the halls of Timmons Arena.
Principal Alleson Jean Lynn had arguably the best idea to allow family and friends to cheer the graduates before the individual names were called.
Lynn’s “celebration” allowed 30-45 seconds for those attending the ceremonies to cheer and clap loudly to honor the grads as they turned to face their guests.
It worked. Every graduate’s name could be heard clearly during the ceremony.
