Cracker Jack, Abby, Izzy and Koda are inviting all their friends and their owners to downtown Greer Tuesday for an evening of festivities.

“Bring Your Dog Downtown Night” will feature a Pooch Parade, Pet Idol and a festival atmosphere along Trade Street. The event, promoted by Greer Station Association, is 5-8 p.m. Registration is 5 p.m., parade at 6 and pet idol at 6:30.

Jessica Monroe, one of the event organizers, and founder of Saved by the Heart, a dog rescue organization and educational program, will host the event at her shop, Greer Trading Post at 217 Trade Street. Monroe also produced the inaugural event in 2012.

A pet food drive will be held for dogs and cats. Vendors will be featuring their pet services and pet wear and merchants will be offering giveaways.

Downtown businesses typically have water bowls and treats for the dogs to enjoy.
