Bullock's Barber Shop has a new sign.

The new sign is aluminum, half with Bullock’s Barber Shop with black type over a white background and the other half with a red, white and blue Pepsi logo. The signage is centered over Bullock’s awning.

Thieves made off with the historic sign, reportedly in February that hung majestically above the barbershop at 225 Trade Street for more than 40 years.

Mike Bullock, in a police report, said some effort had to be made to take the sign. “That sign has been around for a long time and it is a heavy sign,” he said.

Greer police said the sign was likely taken with at least two people working from atop the roof. No arrests were made.
