A dynasty appears to be over for the Hit Squad, a slow pitch softball team from the Greer Recreation Department.

The Hit Squad won this year’s championship but children of team members are now playing sports, making it difficult for the team to compete weekly.

“After 13 years, we are deciding to not play anymore on Wednesdays,” said Corey Lancaster. "Our children are now old enough and are playing so it’s time now to let them have the fun.”

Lancaster and Brian Henson coached the team.
