The Greenville Tech Foundation has released a commemorative book, “Growing Greenville for 50 Years: A Celebration of Greenville Technical College 1962-2012.”
The book, celebrating Greenville Tech’s 50th anniversary, has been in the works for 18 months compiling decades of information, photos and stories. The book serves as a retrospective of the past 50 years – since 1962.
“This anniversary book is a chance to look with pride on five decades of changing lives and helping to lay the foundation for the prosperous Upstate economy,” said Bob Howard, president of the Greenville Tech Foundation.
Serving not only as a timeline of significant events in Greenville Tech’s history, the book also includes anecdotes from important figures in the college’s past and present, congratulatory notes from community leaders and insight into Greenville Tech’s future.
The book was co-authored by Neil Shurley and Lizzi Wolf. Shurley has written local and regional publications. Wolf holds a Ph.D. in American Culture from University of Michigan and teaches English at Greenville Tech.
The book costs $30, plus shipping. Call the Foundation office at 864-250-8835 or email [email protected].
