Confluence is an international print exchange of 22 Contemporary Print Collective (CPA) artists with 22 Ideas Creation Studio artists in Taipei, Taiwan.
Size was the only rule for the 44 participating printmakers. Each printmaker submitted two prints, one for exhibition within the U.S. and the other overseas. The artists were invited to create images addressing any personal ideas and concerns utilizing any printmaking techniques.
Confluence describes the convergence of these two different cultures, where culture may influence the choice of a distinct image, but a confluence of thinking yields art of cross-cultural ideas.
Confluence is on view through March 1, Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at Greenville Technical College’s Benson Campus Galleries, 2522 Locust Hill Road in Taylors.
