Craneous Maximus, selected by fifth grader Fermin Redondo of Crestview Elementary School, is the final name selected for the third rubber-tired gantry crane at the Greer Inland Port.

The students earned their schools $500 and they each were awarded a plaque commemorating their achievements. The names will be painted on the cranes.

A winner was selected from each elementary school invited to participate.

Redondo joins Atlas, named by Ashley Sell, 4th grader at Woodland Elementary and GRRRR by 3rd grader Levi Turner of Chandler Creek Elementary.

The two empty loaders, which move and stack containers on site, were also named.

• Iron Spider, by Amelia Cowart, 3rd grader at Buena Vista Elementary.

• Billy Bob Blue, by Annika Smallwood, 4th grader at Skyland Elementary.
