Culver’s has begun construction at its Greer location.
Jim Clark is locating his second fast-casual Culver’s at 1040 W. Wade Hampton Blvd, next to Aldi and filling in the former D&D Motors site.
The infrastructure is being put in place and Clark said, weather permitting, “Our goal is to open in April. That is the tentative if everything goes according to schedule.”
The 4,250-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 108 guests and a drive-through for to-go orders. Parking will be provided for a runner to deliver the completed orders.
The restaurant’s signature items are its ButterBurger and fresh frozen custard and serves Wisconsin cheese. Culver’s is headquartered in Sauk City, Wis.
The menu is family-style from its signature ButterBurger to crispy chicken sandwich to chicken cashew salad. Meals range from fried chicken, beef pot roast or butterfly jumbo shrimp.
Clark’s signature Culver’s is located at 2021 Woodruff Road.
Culver’s has more than 550 independently owned and operated restaurants in 22 states. North Carolina will become the 23rd state when it opens franchises in Arden and Charlotte in spring 2016.
