A family sit down restaurant is coming to Greer.
Culver’s Restaurants will build its third in the state, second in the upstate, and locate it at 1040 W. Wade Hampton Blvd.
The restaurant’s signature items are its ButterBurger and fresh frozen custard.
The 4,250-square-foot restaurant will be near Aldi’s is being constructed. There will be seating for 108 guests and a drive-through for to-go orders with parking for a runner to deliver the completed orders.
“We want to wow every single guest,” Jim Clark, owner, told GreerToday.com.
Clark said he expects permitting to be completed soon with construction scheduled to begin in September. “We anticipate opening in the first quarter of 2016,” Clark said.
Consumption of Culver’s frozen custard requires delivery of two trucks a week, Clark said.
Culver’s is headquartered in Sauk City, Wis., and carries Wisconsin cheese. The menu is family-style from its signature ButterBurger to crispy chicken sandwich o chicken cashew salad. Meals range from fried chicken, beef pot roast or butterfly jumbo shrimp.
Culver’s has a Greenville location on Woodruff Road and the third franchise is in Rock Hill.
