A rendering by Good City Architects shows renovations scheduled at Taylors First Baptist Church.
The project, now under construction, is intended to improve the experience of visitors entering the church and traffic flow inside. Construction is scheduled to be completed in September.
Among the changes are to landscape and paving, new seating is added to the church’s existing library, a newly created outdoor court, and a reconfigured information center.
“With last year’s celebration of 150 years of ministry in Taylors, we looked toward the future with excitement about changes we should make for lives to be changed for God,” said Paul Jimenez, pastor.
“As a congregation, part of our values includes growing together by engaging with Jesus and each other to become more like him. These changes in our physical structure will certainly create a better environment for that kind of engagement and informal interaction where so much face-to-face ministry happens.”
Good City Architects completed the design and Caldwell Constructors is the general contractor.
