Chandler Road and Taylor Road at Memorial Drive Extension will be closed through Oct. 31, according to the S.C. Department of Transportation.

Heavy rains and flooding Saturday evening caused a 96-inch drainage pipe to collapse and two vehicles, attempting to cross the washed out road, fell into the hole. The road is across Second Baptist Church.

Four people, just returning from a wedding reception, were reportedly rescued with unconfirmed injuries.

Julie McCall, a nearby resident who took the photos on this page, reported her neighborhood was without water.

Flooding closed a portion of I-85 southbound at mile marker 54 from 11 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Sunday. Old Boiling Springs Road was closed overnight Saturday when the road was flooded. It reopened Sunday.
