BEREA BULLDOGS at GREER YELLOW JACKETS
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Rankings: Greer is No. 5 in 3A South Carolina Media Poll.
Records
Greer 6-0 overall, 3-0 Region II-AAA
Berea 2-4 overall, 1-2 Region II-AAA
Series: Greer leads 27-2
Last year: Greer beat Berea, 70-0
Coaches
Greer: Will Young 75-35 10th season
Berea: Wayne Green 2-4 1st season, 207-120 overall
What to look for: Greer is off to its best start since winning the state championship in 1993. Mario Cusano (QB), Adrian McGee (RB), Dorian Lindsey (WR) are the big weapons but what makes this Greer team so much more dangerous than in the past is it is team-oriented and not one-player dimensional. Defensively, Greer may be fielding one of its best, if not best, in the past 20 years, according to defensive coordinator Travis Perry, also the head coach of the 1993 state championship team. Berea relies on running back Stevie Williams for most of its offense.
Line: Greer by 56. Total points 72.
