The Friends of Lake Robinson Sixth Annual Day of Celebration is scheduled Sunday, Oct. 13 1-6 p.m. at Verne Smith Park. The park is located next to the Lake Robinson dam off Mays Bridge Road.

The annual celebration helps raise the visibility and character of the Lake Robinson community, projected by the City of Greer as one of two major residential growth points over the next 10 years.

“Lake Robinson has a major impact on the residents who live around the lake.  We see ourselves as stewards of the lake and learn through that experience why lake preservation, green principles, and appreciation of the wildlife, plants, and other natural wonders around us enrich our lives and create a special lifestyle that is very attractive both to new families and empty nesters,” said Tom Faulkner, President of the Friends of Lake Robinson.

Attendees may want to bring their own blankets and chairs to the free event. Any proceeds will help defray costs of the event and activities to preserve Lake Robinson and support high school scholarships.
