Donations for funds and items are being accepted for the families displaced by Wednesday's fire that destroyed a home and three units of a condominium.

Four families displaced from a fire in Greer Wednesday night are being helped by several organizations.

The Riverwood Farm Homeowners Association has set up a fund to help raise money for the families who lost everything. Donations may be made at Bank of America locations to the Riverwood Farm Homeowners Associate Fire.

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Go Green Charity Recyclers are collecting items for the families.

Jim Marshall, of the non-profit Go Green, said donations may also be dropped off at the company’s thrift store at 2041-A Laurens Road and will be taken to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

“We would also like to offer space in our warehouse in Greer as a drop-off and staging area to collect and distribute the donated items,’ said Marshall.

Call Marshall at 864-469-7117 for more information.

The Red Cross brought supplies and food for the first responders Wednesday night and helped the displaced families find hotels for shelter.
