Robert Jason Frady, 36, of 2135 Church Street has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful possession of a weapon following an investigation.
The victim is reportedly in an induced coma at Greenville Memorial Hospital. The bullet, said police, entered the victim through the optic nerve, that will likely render him blind. His condition is life threatening, according to an arrest warrant for Frady. He is being held without bond at the Greenville County Detention Center.
The Greer Police Department asked for assistance in locating two subjects when they dropped off the shooting victim at Greer Memorial at approximately 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The subjects left in a black Camaro before police arrived.
Lt. Jim Holcombe, of the Greer Police Department, said Greenville deputies were asked for their assistance and they located the vehicle at CCC Camp Road. “A male ran from the vehicle and a female stayed with the behind,” Holcombe said. The investigation led police to a home on Ponder Road.
“The male subject was located at McDonald’s on Memorial Drive Extension and was arrested under a public drunk and resisting charge,” Holcombe said.
Officers learned, during their investigation, that Frady allegedly shot the victim and left after getting into an argument.
