Dorian Lindsey will see action at wide receiver Friday against the Woodruff Wolverines.
The entire lineup of games scheduled at the Blue Ridge Jamboree has been moved to Woodruff because of poor field conditions at Blue Ridge with more rain expected.
It will be Greer’s final preseason tune-up before opening its regular season scheduled next Friday at Seneca at 7:30 p.m.
Blue Ridge played Woodruff last week in a jamboree, winning with two touchdowns in the final two minutes.
Greer lost to Mauldin at the J.L. Mann Jamboree last week when a two-point conversion failed as the Yellow Jackets went for the win instead of a tie near the end of the game.
Mario Cusano, sophomore transfer from Connecticut, will get more of the snaps at quarterback for Greer Friday with starter Dorian Lindsey playing wide receiver. “Dorian is the better of the receivers and gives us more depth at that position,” Greer Head Coach Will Young said.
Zeke Whiteside, junior wide receiver, continues to recover from a concussion received last week and will not play Friday. Vincent Dellapena, junior offensive lineman, suffered his third shoulder injury in the past three years earlier in summer practice and was scheduled for surgery.
Friday night’s lineup at Woodruff:
5:30 p.m. – Riverside vs. Chapman
6:30 p.m. – River Bluff vs. Landrum
7:30 p.m. – Blue Ridge vs. Woodmont
8:30 p.m. – Greer vs. Woodruff
