Defensive line coach Raashard Jackson, inside the huddle, challenged his team to "make a statement" last Friday at Riverside.  Greer held Riverside to 56 yards rushing on 36 attempts.

What to look for: Greer hasn’t opened the season with three consecutive wins since 1995. Greer overmatched Riverside last week with its physicality. Offensive linemen Noah Hannon graded 83 percent with 5 knockdowns, Cole Henderson 92 percent with 3 knockdowns and Garrett Poole 87 percent with 3 knockdowns. Jared Wright is the most active defensive player leading the team in tackles (12), assists (11) with one tackle for loss. Bobby Farrington was the special team player of the game, recovering a fumble when he fell on a loose ball that was hiked to an inattentive running back. Troy Pride was defensive player of the game with 6 tackles and 2 assists, still fewer than Wright’s 7 and 7, respectively. Wright had a knockdown on a pass, and one tackle for loss. Deandre Moren was named the hit squad player. Mario Cusano (QB) has proved accurate in his first two games (22-30-292 yards and 3 TDs. Adrian McGee is averaging 8.8 yards a carry gaining 133 yards on 15 carries with 2 TDs. Dorian Lindsey has 10 receptions for 165 yards and 2 TDs and has added 134 rushing yards with one TD. Nick Roberson is 6-for-7 PATs, the one miss result of a bad snap.

Union: is typically led by a quarterback – De’arrius Smith threw for 437 yards against Gaffney and running back Christian Petty. Shi Smith, a sophomore wide receiver already has been offered by the University of South Carolina. Union County has 26 seniors but return 5 freshmen that started last year.
