It was another great day, month and quarter in Greer, according to BMW March sales figures released Tuesday.
In fact production by BMW Manufacturing Co., of the popular X5 and X6 in Greer, helped make March and the first quarter of 2015 a record.
• X5 sales jumped 12.1 percent to 15,289 last month.
• X6 sales climbed 5.4 percent for a total 3,880 last month
• 9.2 percent brand sales increase over March 2014 (232,556 deliveries of BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce vehicles.
• 8.1 percent brand increase in first quarter compared to 2014 (526,669 vehicles delivered to customers)
• 195,593 BMW brand vehicles delivered to customers in March. The 5.1 percent increase was a new high.
• 109,510 vehicles / 9.9 percent increase in first quarter vehicles delivered same period last year.
• 451,576 vehicles represents the best first quarter for brand, 5.4 percent increase over same period last year.
“This has been our strongest ever first quarter and we have achieved sales growth in all regions globally” said Ian Robertson, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, Sales and Marketing.
