Jonathan Savor, from Greer, finished second in Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Jonathan Savoy of Greer won second place in the Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the North Mecklenburg Viking Classic in Charlotte on Saturday. Savoy’s debate topic was “Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified”.

Savoy is a member of the Bob Jones Academy Speech and Debate team who were recognized for outstanding achievement. The event featured 600 competitors from 39 schools in the tri-state area.
